Pioneering the teaching of fragrance in art and design, Nicola has created two courses for the academia, first of this kind in the world.

Design With Scents, London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, U.K.

Open to the public, Design With Scents is the 1-week multi-sensory workshop about the design of places through the sense of smell, led by Nicola with Guest Tutors Joanna Norman and Marianne Martin, now held at the London College of Fashion, UAL.

Design with Scents is open to students and professionals from across all creative industries who will benefit from enhancing their projects and learning to communicate an idea to an audience with fragrance. See more here.

Olfactory Art & Design has received overwhelming feedback and attendance from students who have the chance to study fragrance as part of their programme. See the case study here.

Scent Workshops, Slade School of Fine Arts, University College London, U.K.

As part of a unique pedagogic approach aiming to educate artists through the senses, Nicola has been crafting workshops around scents for MA Fine Arts students of the Slade. These are bespoke experiences built specifically around the student’s curricula and activities.
